The Kazakhstan English Language Theater (KELT) with the support of KIMEP University, presents Mary Chase’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Harvey.

Harvey is the story of Elwood P. Dowd, a polite and friendly man with a very strange best friend – a 2 meter invisible rabbit named Harvey. Elwood’s sister Veta is concerned the rabbit will interfere with her life as an important person in society so she attempts to have her brother committed as a crazy person, but her plan backfires when she is taken for being mentally unstable. Elwood leaves the mental institution unbothered, turning the town upside-down as everyone goes on the lookout for this mild-mannered hero and his invisible rabbit.

The cast of Harvey is diverse, made of students, English teachers and internationals from four different countries.

You are invited to attend the show in Almaty, at KIMEP University, 2 Abay ave, Great Hall (entrance through the Fun Club).

Running time will be approximately two hours with intermission.

Appropriate for adults and children 12 and up.

The play is performed in English with Kazakh and Russian subtitles.
